BT intend to phase out their copper line system by the end of 2025. This can affect alarm systems that relied on the analogue system, if that is the case for you then you will need to speak to your IT partner or telecommunications provider to ensure they have a replacement in place.

However, this means you can’t add additional lines or channels and if you contact BT to amend then they will attempt to upsell you to an IP voice solution, this will pretty much lock you in to an expensive contract.

Waiting until BT notify you that your service is ending is a bad idea. Please if you haven’t already, get a plan in order for your digital transition to an IP VoIP (Voice over IP) service.
